White Star Software Announces the Addition of Tom Bascom as Vice President of Technology Advisory Services
White Star Software, announced today that Tom Bascom, has joined the firm as Vice President of Technology Advisory Services. Mr. Bascom, formerly President of Greenfield Technologies, will step into his new role effective immediately. Customers of Greenfield Technologies will be transitioned to White Star and continue receiving Mr. Bascom's services without disruption.
In announcing the addition of Mr. Bascom, Adam Backman, President of White Star Software, LLC, stated, "Tom's addition to the firm is a major step in our drive to expand the range of expertise White Star can bring directly to bear in any client situation. His widely acclaimed and freely downloadable Progress tool set, including the ProTop database monitoring, ReadProbe performance benchmarking, PACE load simulation and the Highly Parallel Dump & Load Toolkit will remain available to all.
Tom is also known for his vertical market success as a founder and chief architect for Lakewood Corporation. After selling Lakewood Corporation to EDS in 1995 Tom worked for EDS as an Enterprise Architect on various projects until the summer of 2000 when he joined printChannel.com, the leading vendor of Web-based print procurement solutions, as VP of Engineering where he was responsible for Software Development and IT Operations in support of printChannel's global service offering. Tom founded Greenfield Technologies in 2002 to serve the needs of Progress users worldwide.
