Extending the OpenEdge Reference Architecture towards .NET

The OpenEdge Adapter for .NET from White Star Software is a framework which will allow you to take maximum advantage of your programming resources. Your OpenEdge developers can concentrate on what they're good at - OpenEdge ABL programming and your .NET developers can concentrate on what they're good at.

The Adapter encapsulates all the routine tasks of the .NET client, taking care of data queries, data update and user authentication allowing transparent communication with your database via your AppServer.

Getting Started

We have the framework, the toolsets and the experienced staff to help you get under way. We will perform the initial installation of the framework on your development machine and coach you in its use.  That's it! All you have to do is ensure that there is a suitable delineation between your UI layer and your Business Logic.

The Future

Progress has recently announced its intention to make available implementation of .NET UI from within OpenEdge Architect. While the delivery of this goal may still be some months away, we can say with some confidence "When its ready, so are we". And, so too, will you be!
